We got our Pitty with the humane society 2 yrs ago. We had great service. We fostered her first to make sure she got along with our dog. She had health issues and they paid for vet bills. They paid for her to be fixed. We had some continued health issues after adoption with her ears and skin and a woman had given me her personal # to help me through the issues. We found out she was partially deaf. She is such a beautiful and kind pup. We love her!
I very much enjoyed volunteering at Humane Society of Bay County.
To start, the staff was amazing. They made me feel welcomed and didn’t under appreciated my silly questions.
Everything was clean and had a process which was very enjoyable for someone like me.
The amount of love and care given to these animals from the staff, volunteers, fosters, and TNR is empowering.

Leon is FIV+. He adapted well! He was at the Humane Society for almost a year! I adopted him and he's a lovely boy. :) I am glad he is part of my family!
I need a tiny bit of help. Neighbor moved and through kitten out. He's still hanging in neighbor hood and today realized when he's in fight he goes in my tree. BUT I also run out there to make sure my black kitty is ok. I Don't Know what to do...bottom line I want him in my house. He's been hanging around since summer they left him and it's not OK!!

We just adopted a young kitten during one of their "Pawty" events and I gotta say the experience was great. The staff was very excited to see each animal get adopted, and you can tell from the staff and volunteer's body language that they care deeply for each of the animals there. This was one of the cleanest humane societies I've ever seen. Even when it was chaotic they kept facilities very clean. All the animals I saw were well cared for, clean and as happy as they can be in a strange place with other animals. The adoption process was very easy, and they even gave us a coupon for a local pet supply store since the HS was all out of cat carriers at that moment. If you're looking for a place to adopt a new pet, I highly recommend HSBC.
